The A-10 is powered by two General Electric TF34-GE-100A turbofan engines with afterburners, each producing 10,000 lbf of thrust. The engines are mounted in nacelles slung under the wings in an arms-length configuration, with clear air inlet ducts that greatly increase airflow reaching the engines.

Thunderbolt II A-10, more commonly known as the Warthog, is an American jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic in the early 1970s. It is the first USAF aircraft designed exclusively for close air support of ground forces.

Thunderbolt combines a wide variety of mission capabilities with unsurpassed survivability, even in the face of sophisticated enemy defenses. The Warthog s s arsenal includes cannons, missiles and bombs, making it the perfect multi-role aircraft for the 21st century.

The A-10 Thunderbolt II grew out of the USAF's need for a close air support aircraft. Lockheed responded with the YA-10, a modified version of the C-130 Hercules. The US Air Force decided however, they wanted a more heavily armed and armored aircraft and so the YA-10 was re-designated as the A-10A.

The honor of being the only plane designed exclusively for its role, making it the best ground-attack plane in the world today. Its thick armor protection is effective against most antiaircraft weapons, and can withstand unsurvivable crash landings. It was specifically designed to survive against heavy anti-aircraft artillery attacks with its ability to take off and land in short distances. The A-10 was built with one purpose in mind: to support troops on the ground. Today, its honor continues as it is reengined with an upgraded turbofan engine, which allows it to perform at high.

Warthog Single-Seat Subsonic Jet Aircraft

Commonly nicknamed the Warthog, is a single-seat subsonic jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic for the United States Air Force (USAF). It was designed around the 30 mm GAU.

The Warthog is a family of twin-engine, jet-propelled, subsonic close-support aircraft derived from the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon. The A-10 was designed for close air support of ground troops.

Warthog A-10 Thunderbolt II  (Air Force designation: A-10) is a single seat, twin jet engine, straight wing close-air support (CAS) aircraft developed by Fairchild Republic. Warthog A-10 was designed around the GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon of 30mm. and its first combat operation was during the Persian Gulf War on February 13, 1991. With a wide variety of ordnance ranging from general purpose.

Superior firepower, precision targeting and agility.

The A-10 was developed specifically to survive against modern MANPADS and cruise missiles, and is capable of flying safely in a combat zone with a variety of battle damage. It is also able to fly one mission and then exit the area via a Landing/Rendezvous point while carrying ordnance, without support from aerial refueling.

Internal capacity of the A-10 is only 11 troops, but the rear loading ramp can accommodate an M561 VAC jeep or two fully equipped soldiers on stretchers. Other equipment that can be loaded includes two M1114 up-armored Humvees, a standard palletized load of 2 x 4 x 8 foot (6061T6 aluminum) or four M1015 HMM.
