Insane Vertical Landing F35 Refuel on Air
Insane Vertical Landing F35 Refuel on Air

Take a look at this amazing video of the Lockheed Martin F35 Lightning II landing vertically even with two external fuel tanks. This, folks, is pure science fiction come to life.

This is the latest video of the F35 Joint Strike Fighter to be released by the U.S. military. Shot in May at Mountain Home Air Base, Idaho, this footage shows a Martin-Baker US16E ejection seat-equipped F35A making a vertical landing and then an inflight refueling above a KC-135 Stratotanker.

This is an absolutely incredible piece of flying and logistics by the F35-B Lightning II. While the French refuel on the deck of their Charles de Gaulle carrier, we can see a KC-135 Stratotanker fueling a F35B straight out of the door. There are two points of contact happening here: the first is an aerial refuel (which was performed flawlessly), and the second, trust me, is what really tickles my fancy.

Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II

Behold the US Air Force stealth fighter, Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, performing one of its most amazing maneuvers, the Vertical Landing. The video shows the F-35B, piloted by LtCol. R. J. Vickers, stopping its forward movement just above the runway using its thrust reversers.

Then it quickly descends to hover with its nose just off the ground before lowering itself down to land on its legs with no forward momentum. This maneuver is otherwise known as an Immelmann turn or Insane Vertical Landing (IVL).

Our designers have created a design that is both a functional piece of art and a subtle conversation starter with the title "Insane Vertical Landing".

This art is produced on a premium 100% combed cotton fine jersey t-shirt using cutting edge direct-to-garment printing technology. The quality of this shirt is superb as well as durable as it is made from a 100% cotton material.

The aircraft on this page is a F35B on a vertical landing on an aircraft carrier. The F35B made history as the first jet to land vertically and first on an aircraft carrier. The F35 on this page is on a Nimitz class aircraft carrier refueling from a Navy fuel truck.

Utilizes Stealth Technology

The F-35 Lightning II is a fifth generation multirole fighter that utilizes stealth technology. It can refuel in midair, perform short takeoffs and vertical landings, and carry the largest payload of both guided and unguided weapons in the world. Packed with true-to-life detail, this stunning model features moveable wings, authentic design features aboard the fuselage, and incredibly low parts count for quick, easy assembly.

In this amazing real footage you can see a squadron of 4 US Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II Short Takeoff / Vertical Landing (STOVL) stealth multirole fighters, belonging to VMFA-211 "Wake Island Avengers", based at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Arizona, conducting a first ever vertical landing on a moving platform at sea.

First Time Vertical Landing by US Marine Corps F-35B Fighter

For the first time ever you will be able to see how does it look when an F35B fighter jet refueling on air, The successful first vertical landing by a US Marine Corps F-35B fighter jet has been hailed as a 'historic moment' in aviation. The aircraft, which is capable of taking off and landing vertically, completed its first refuelling mid-air operation with an RAF tanker over the US last night.

Rumor has it that this is how V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft refuel in mid-air. F35 has the same capabilities. No more need for refueling on ground. Vertical landing are probably less maneuverable than Navy landing, but videos are worth watching one time only. Always wear your seatbelt!

This new F-35B of VMFA-211 did an amazing Vertical landing. Here you have the video of this incredible activity of the "LEAPING LION". Not only that, this is the first time that they refuel on Air.
First time the F-35 has refueled in flight. Vertical landing tests are important for the future of supersonic air travel. Once this bird is able to take off and land from a short runway, as well as refuel during flight, air travel as we know it will be forever changed.

UK's own F-35B Varian

The F-35B and its variants (including the UK's own F-35B variant) are the only fighter jets in the world that can perform vertical landings and take offs, also referred to as VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing). Using lift fan propulsion the F-35B is capable of hovering like a helicopter, rotating its engines to enable high thrust for takeoff. Thrust vectoring allows the F-35B to turn tightly, avoiding house or mountain obstacles while.

The F-35B Lightning II, is the variant of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) being built for the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. The F-35B is designed to take off and land vertically like a helicopter, but faster than most other fixed-wing aircraft.

U.S. Air Force F35A Lightning II aircraft

U.S. Air Force F35A Lightning II aircraft at Edwards Air Force Base, California. A-10 refuel while hovering in mid-air. This is a rare shot of the refueling while the tanker makes a vertical landing against a strong headwind. The wingtip vortices from the tanker wing generate a downwash, which makes it possible for the tanker to land safely at a higher airspeed compared to if it landed with no wingtip vortices from the lead aircraft.

Watch the coolest military fighter jet refuel vertically in mid-air refueling. What if the F35 had the capability of an aircraft carrier.

From time to time Navy F35B aircraft lands on its tailhook , the aircraft lands vertically and perform a "hover taxi" over the runway in order to refuel from an tanker.

The F-35B is the next generation of aircraft carrier capable fighter jets. It's so advanced, it blows any other modern fighter jet out of the water. Take a look here as it takes off vertically, swiftly rotates around to refuel mid-air all while flying over 50 miles per hour.

The AMAZING thing is that you can refuel an F-35 in the air as it flies. And if its wings are pointed up, even better.

The F-35B takes off from the USS Wasp and perfectly lands, refueling in mid-air while executing a vertical landing.
