M120 Mortar System is designed to provide direct, indirect, close and deep fire support to maneuver forces. With its lightweight, yet durable design, the M120 operates on-the-move without sacrificing accuracy or safety.
 
The gun is easy to assemble, requiring only one soldier and 10 minutes to setup and begin firing. It fires 120mm multi‐purpose ammunition accurately at a range of 8 km.

The M120 Mortar System is used to launch grenades of high explosive, smoke and illumination rounds to a range of 1,200 to 2,500 meters.
 

Long Range and Easy-to-use

Easy-to-use that allows soldiers to project a variety of ammunition out to ranges in excess of 5,300 meters. It can be used as a rapid close-in weapon system in low-intensity conflicts or for long-range direct support missions. The 120mm ammunition range has increased 25 percent since the M119 System entered Army service in 1973.

In addition, the pack contains 2 frag rounds, 1 illumination flare, and 2 white phosphorus flares for extra versatility and firepower.

The M120 Mortar System consists of a man-portable tube assembly, an ammunition container and two crew-served weapons. It fires all standard U.S. Low Cost, Low Drag (LC) 60 mm rounds. The components are easily man-packed for tactical movement between firing positions.
